Privacy Policy
This policy describes the information MeterBook processes.

1. Workspace and reading data
MeterBook stores workspace titles, meter names and locations, cumulative values, timestamps, display names, optional notes, replacement history, and operational activity. Accounts and email addresses are not required.
2. Private access links
Secrets remain in URL fragments, are sent to the API only when needed, and are stored by the server as cryptographic hashes.
3. Data minimisation
Do not enter utility account numbers, invoices, access codes, precise occupancy patterns, or other sensitive information in titles, names, locations, or notes.
4. Technical data and analytics
Security logs may process IP address, user agent, and timestamps. Optional analytics loads only after consent and excludes private URLs, locators, secrets, and reading content.
5. Retention and deletion
Managers can void readings, archive meters, rotate access links, or permanently delete a workspace. Operational backups may persist for a limited period.
