Terms of Use
These terms explain the conditions for using MeterBook.
Last updated: 27 July 2026
1. The service
MeterBook is a lightweight shared log for manually entered cumulative utility readings. It is not a utility provider, billing calculator, smart-meter integration, inspection service, or official evidence system.
2. Capability links
Manager, collaborator, meter, and receipt links grant different permissions. Anyone holding a link may use its access, so keep private links within the intended trusted group.
3. Your responsibility
Users are responsible for selecting the correct physical meter, unit, value, timestamp, recipients, corrections, and any decisions based on the record.
4. Manual information
Values and names are self-reported. MeterBook does not identify the person entering data, read a physical display, verify calibration, calculate a bill, or confirm provider records.
5. Availability and limits
The service is provided as available and may change or be interrupted. Technical limits and abuse controls protect reliability.
6. Contact
